How can we help?

Coloured Products

With chemical colouring, 3D printouts can be given a finishing touch for the end user or for marketing purposes. Colouring gives the workpiece UV protection and the high-quality result is very durable. Several different colours are available.

You can order 3D printouts with just the right colour, which allows you to deliver them to the end user as they are, or you can use them immediately for marketing purposes. We use chemical colouring techniques which provide a durable and smooth colour.

3D printouts are available in all main colours and some additional shades. The high-quality result tolerates wear well. Colouring also provides the part with UV protection, keeping it from getting a yellowish tone. The colouring can be done on PA2200 and PA3200GF materials.

Spare parts

3D printing allows for the rapid delivery of durable and high-quality spare parts as required.

When a new part is required to replace a broken one, it can be done quickly using 3D printing. The old part can be directly remodelled or 3D scanned, in which case a new part can be made based on this information.

By 3D printing spare parts, you avoid the costs of keeping them in stock. We deliver the required parts to the customer in just a few days from the order.

Contract manufacturing

Contract manufacturing allows you to ensure that you always have new parts available without the cost and effort of keeping them in storage.

We provide contract manufacturing in 3D printing. We manufacture and deliver a certain number of parts to the customer at regular intervals, at the agreed price.

Contract manufacturing is an excellent solution when there is a need to avoid keeping unnecessary stock. At the same time, it ensures that parts are readily available. If necessary, the order sizes can be adjusted flexibly.

Small-scale production

Small-scale production is a cost-effective way to manufacture the exact amount of parts required. This means that large initial investments can be avoided and the production of parts can be started rapidly.

3D printing manufactures high-quality and durable parts suitable for each purpose of use. The exactly right materials for each purpose can be selected from the many alternatives. For example, considering the needs of an equipment manufacturer, it may be wise to manufacture certain parts using a 3D printer.

In small-scale production, the number of items in a series may range from one to a few thousand pieces. The profitability of 3D printing in small-scale production is affected by both the number of products to be printed and their size.

Finishing and post-processing

The 3D printed pieces of plastic can be finished by colouring or coating, among others. In this way, the workpiece can be given a finishing touch for the end user or for marketing purposes.

3D Formtech’s thin-film coating is ideal for the finalisation of 3D printouts. The coating is applied onto the finished 3D printout creating a thin and durable protective shield. The treated surface repels water and dirt and provides excellent resistance to chemicals and UV radiation. The coating provides full protection for the plastic object and creates entirely new possibilities for using 3D printouts.

With the help of thin-film coating, 3D printouts become waterproof. Coated pieces can therefore be used outdoors and everywhere where contact with water or other liquids might happen. The thin-film Coating contains no dangerous substances and is safe to use.

The coating can be applied on all our materials, both dyed and non-dyed. The thin-film coating allows the colours of the objects to glow and is a great way to finalise a 3D printout.

Equipment

We run six high-quality EOS 3D printers for plastic production. The high-quality machinery manufactures products with good surface quality and high accuracy directly from digital CAD files within just a couple of hours.

With six machines we can always guarantee a high-quality and timely production. We can deliver even larger series of printed materials fast and reliably.

The EOS industrial model printers print high-quality 3D products rapidly and cost-effectively using a laser sintering method. They can produce even the most complex models individually and in detail. The printing accuracy is extremely good and the surface quality of the models is very high.
